What you can put in a QR code

A QR code can contain a website address, plain text, contact information, a phone number, an email address, Wi-Fi configuration text, or another compact string. The device that scans the code decides what action to offer.

How to use the generator

1. Enter the exact content you want encoded.
2. Choose the output size and error-correction level.
3. Optionally choose dark and background colors with strong contrast.
4. Generate the code, test it with a second device, and then download the PNG.

Test before publishing or printing

Always scan the finished code before using it on a sign, business card, flyer, label, or website. Confirm that the destination or text is correct. A QR code does not verify whether a URL is safe or whether the encoded information is accurate.

Color and printing guidance

Dark modules on a light background are the safest general design. Leave clear white space around the code and avoid stretching, cropping, blurring, or placing graphics over critical parts of the pattern.

Privacy

The QR pattern is generated locally in the browser using a bundled JavaScript QR library. ATOMOS Tools does not need to send the entered content to a QR generation service.

Capacity limitations

QR capacity depends on the content and error-correction level. Very long text may not fit. Shorter URLs and concise text are easier to scan, especially when the printed code is physically small.
